Explore the Community of Christ Publications at UVA Libraries

Last fall, the Community of Christ church archive team donated over 400 of their publications to the UVA libraries for circulation. These publications have since been processed and are now available for checkout for UVA students and the general public.

The publications include books and articles on a number of theological and social topics that offer insight into the beliefs and practices of the Community of Christ. Titles include God, Getting to Know the Unknown (Alan D. Tyree, 1997), The Widow: And the Stresses of Widowhood (Frances Hartman Mulliken, 1983), and Apostle of the Poor: The Life and Work of Missionary and Humanitarian Charles D. Neff (Matthew Bolton, 2005).

In facilitating this acquisition, UVA Mormon Studies hopes to expand the accessible research materials within the field of Mormon Studies in order to highlight the experiences of another tradition that traces its roots back to Joseph Smith, Jr. You can visit this UVA Library page to explore the collection and learn where and how you can check out these resources.
