Mormon Studies Chair Laurie Maffly-Kipp Contributes to Upcoming Book on The Joseph Smith Papers

Richard Lyman Bushman Chair of Mormon Studies Laurie Maffly-Kipp will be published next month in the sixteen-essay volume Billions Shall Know Brother Joseph Again: The Joseph Smith Papers and Latter-day Saint History (RSC BYU and Deseret Book). Her article is entitled “Remember Their Labors: The Everyday Work of Zion Building in The Joseph Smith Papers.”

This landmark volume of essays, edited by J. Chase Kirkham, Brent M. Rogers, and Matthew S. McBride, reflects upon the immense contribution of The Joseph Smith Papers to the work of Latter-day Saint historical analysis. The book includes essays from eminent scholars and Church leaders, including former UVA Bushman Chair of Mormon Studies and Professor Emerita Kathleen Flake.
