Laurie Maffly-Kipp to Speak at BYU-Hawaii Conference
On Saturday, February 22, Bushman Chair Laurie Maffly-Kipp will speak at the “Church History in the Pacific and Asia Conference 2025,” hosted by BYU-Hawaii. Professor Maffly-Kipp will deliver a panel presentation entitled, “By Right of Blood: The Battle over the Church College of New Zealand.” In this presentation, Professor Maffly-Kipp will discuss the operation and closure of the Latter-day Saint-run Church College of New Zealand. The event is open to the public via registration.
Professor Maffly-Kipp will present a longer lecture on this subject at a UVA Religious Studies Colloquium in the Fall.
