Newly Updated – Recommended Texts, from Surveys to Special Topics
University of Virginia, Mormon Studies Program
In keeping with our program’s mission to promote scholarly research and facilitate public understanding of Mormonism, we’ve recently updated our list of recommended texts.
This includes over 30 surveys, essay collections, chapters, and classic books on Mormonism representing a variety of disciplines and perspectives.
Also, for the first time, we’ve included a “special topics” section focused on specific facets of Mormon Studies. Currently, we’re highlighting outstanding scholarship on Global Mormonism, with a list of texts curated by our new Mormon Studies program director, Dr. Laurie Maffly-Kipp.
Whether you’re a faculty member creating a class syllabus, a scholar expanding your research horizons, or simply someone curious about Mormonism, we hope our text recommendations prove informative and enriching.
