Endowed as Amanda Smith (NTER). Civil marriage to Warren Smith [1794-1838], 28 Mar 1826, who was killed at Haun's Mill, Missouri (Ward, Black). Civil marriage to Warren Smith [1808-85], abt. May 1840 (Ward). She divorced her second husband. Upon receiving a vision that she was to be sealed to Joseph Smith, Jr. (which she discounted as being from the devil), Brigahm Young counseled her to go forward and she was sealed to him on 19 Jan 1852 in the Endowment House (Black; Endowment House Sealing Records, Book A, #255). Also sealed to Brigham Young. Member of FRSN, admitted 28 Apr 1842 as Amida Smith (Ward). Member of FRSN, admitted 28 Apr 1842 as Amida Smith (Ward).
